April and Zipporah Mondy are the voices you hear every weekday morning on the Morning Show. They are often joined by their mother Belinda and the three of them “Help You Get Your Day Started with the Lord”. In the early days of radio station KJIW-FM 94.5, they made their radio debut on their show “Friends” during the early 1990’s. From 1998 till 2005 they hosted “Youth Night” on Friday nights, a two hour program targeted to youth, teenagers and young adults. In 2004 they started out as substitutes for the Morning Show which was originally hosted by both of their parents. Over time they became regulars and eventually ended up the official hosts.
Aside from being on the radio, they both enjoy being actively involved in the community and interacting with the public. The two of them had a puppet show ministry which they were involved in for over ten years. On August 31, 2002 and December 27, 2003 they hosted a Youth Night Live Youth Rally at the Malco Theater in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. Both events generated a crowd of over 500 people! They are both currently working full time at the radio station not only in front of the mics but behind the mics as well. The two of them do most of the station’s digital editing and production. April and Zipporah also do the most of the office work, computer programming, and sales.
