Meteorologist Rob Dale is our handy weather man. He joined our radio team in early 2006. Rob brings you up to date weather coverage every day. With all the years of experience he has, we know he knows what he's talking about!
Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, he attended Purdue University. Rob has had a lifelong interest in weather. At the age of 15 he became a licensed amateur radio operator which enabled him to participate in the National Weather Service "Skywarn" program. During times of severe weather, he travels to the strongest storms and using his radio communicates with the NWS to inform them of any signs of severe weather -- hail, strong winds, or tornados.
In 2001 he received the "Best Spot News" award from the Michigan Associated Press along with Tim Padot & Brad Edwards. This was the first time in the history of the award that a meteorologist was named. He speaks at numerous severe weather conferences around the country each year, as a respected severe weather expert. We're proud to have him on our team!
