DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
Article I
The Bible, or the Scriptures Old and New Testament, is a divine revelation, the original autographs of which were verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21). The Bible is the Word of God and the ultimate and final authority in matters and affairs of the church and as it relates to the world. The Old Testament was God's covenant with the children of Israel and paves the way for the New Testament which is God's commandments and covenant for and with the church.
Article II
God is a person who has revealed Himself in unity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - three Persons (Matthew 28:19 mathematically a trinity, John 1:1-3) and yet one God (Deuteronomy 6:5, 1 Corinthians 8:6). Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, which is to say, He is Himself very God; He took upon Himself our nature, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary; He died upon the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the whole world; He arose from the dead in the body in which He was crucified; He ascended into Heaven in that glorified body, where He is now our interceding High Priest; He will come again personally and visibly to set up His kingdom and to judge the quick and the dead (Colossians 1:15, Philippians 2:5-8, Matthew 1:18-25, 1 Peter 2:24-25, Luke 24, Hebrews 4:14-16, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, Matthew 25:31-46, Revelation 11:15-17; 20:4-6, 11-15).
Article III
Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin, and is lost; this is true of all men, and except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ who His own self bore our sins in His own body on the cross; the retribution of the wicked and unbelieving and the reward of the righteous are everlasting. Just as the righteous are in a state of consciousness beyond death and in the hereafter so are the wicked and unbelievers (Luke 16:19-3, Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 3:10, John 3:3, Acts 13:38-39, John 3:16, Matthew 24:26, 2 Corinthians 5:1, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10).
Article IV
Amongst other things, the world, flesh, and devil are attempting to redefine the role of the man, the woman, marriage, and the family. This spirit of the world (homosexuality, women's lib movement, etc) is influencing many churches with its false teachers who mishandle the Word of God; what God has said is clear what those roles are to be and how they are defined. The clear context of Galatians 3:28 neither Jew, Greek, bond, free, male, nor female has to do with salvation or God's love and His accessibility; He is no respector of persons. The rest of Scripture is very clear as to the role of the man and the woman and that did not change. Man is to lead and be in positions of authority in the church and in the home and woman is to submit. Therefore, Scripture has defined and commanded who are to be leaders and teach in the chuch and what the qualifications are. Anything and anybody out of alignment with Scripture on this is out of the will of God. Let God be true and every man and woman a liar. God does not lead anyone contrary to His written Word. God's commands for church leadership: 1 Timothy 3:1-13, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Timothy 2:11-15, 1 Corinthians 14:34-38; 11:1-3, The family: Genesis 2:18, 21-25; 1:27-28, Ephesians 5:22-33, 1 Peter 3:1-7. Scripture opposition to homosexuality: Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9.
