Belinda Sullivan Mondy is the lovely wife of Elijah Mondy and the mother of all the Mondy children. She is currently the executive administrator and general sales manager for KJIW-FM 94.5 in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. She holds the same position through the MBS Network family of stations, which includes KCAT-1340 in Pine Bluff Arkansas, and WJIW-FM 104.7 in Greenville, Mississippi. She is often heard on the Morning Show with her daughters April and Zipporah.
Born and raised in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, she graduated from Helena-West Helena Central High School in 1981. She attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff until 1983. During the early 1980's, Belinda was employed by the UAPB COOP Department of the Navy and with Sperry Corporation in Great Lakes, New York as a computer analysis in training. From 1984 through 1988 she attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. On December 24, 1983 she married Elijah at the New Light Missionary Baptist Church in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. While visiting Arkansas several times per year, they raised their family in Chicago, Illinois. In 1998, they moved to Helena-West Helena to focus more closely on the radio station business after Elijah retired early from the National Broadcasting Corporation. In addition to her station duties, Belinda teaches all of her young children through homeschooling.
When she's not running the business or being a full-time mom, she enjoys playing tennis, getting together with other couples, and hanging out with her kids. She loves Raisin Bran cereal (that's a mom for you).
